FEBRUARY
24 - 26, 2011 PROPHECY CONFERENCE AT SAND RIDGE CHURCH OF GOD- PASTOR I.
D. SULLIVAN- DIRECTED BY BROTHER BILL FINLEY Excitement was in the air as people from many areas came into the sanctuary at Millry, Alabama for the first Southern Prophecy Conference.
Prior to this the event had been held mainly at Trinity Pentecostal Tabernacle in Louisville, Kentucky where Brother Finley pastors. Now the ministry would reach a different area and enable more people to be exposed to the wonderful preaching and teaching that occurs in these meetings. We were privileged and blessed to be present and to be challenged and stirred regarding the evidences of an imminent return of the Lord Jesus to rapture His church. You can read more about it at hopethatpurifiethl.org We will highlight a few pictures here, but will soon upload a large number of those conference pictures to the Hope That Purifieth website.
FEBRUARY 27, 2011 - SAND RIDGE CHURCH OF GOD - PASTOR I. D. SULLIVAN As the prophecy conference closed we stayed on at the invitation of Pastor Sullivan and ministered in the Sunday morning service. This church has a great history and continues to stand as a lighthouse in this community.
We were happily surprised to find Brother Bill Addis here as the Adult Sunday School Teacher, and to learn that this was the area where he has relocated since the passing of his wonderful wife. God has blessed him with a lovely, well-deserved home.
We praise God for the opportunity to minister and preach the Word, and pray that it will impact the lives of every hearer. It is the will of God to send revival to our holiness churches, and we rejoice whenever we find those who have that hunger for more of God.
"Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled." During our stay in Millry, we were blessed to stay in the home of Tom and Cheryl Newberry. Their hospitality and fellowship made us feel so welcome. The Newberrys pastor the Red Creek Church of God in Millry, and have recently completed remodeling the structure. It is a beautiful place of worship.
Brother Newberry exhibited his additional talent as organist, and as caterer and cook at the Prophecy Conference.
Even Brother Goodwin had to get a look at that kitchen and the good smelling food that was being prepared. His lovely wife Cheryl is a special joy, and together they help "to spoil" with love their handsome little son. She was also an exceptional song leader!
