JANUARY 2-7,
2011-LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY
It is always our joy to return to
Trinity Pentecostal Tabernacle and to the expectancy of a move of God
during the meetings. Pastor Bill Finley and his wife Sue are dedicated
to seeing God's purposes fulfilled. He taught a powerful lesson on
prophecy to the adult Sunday School class.

As Brother Goodwin preached about the
walls of Jericho there was a stirring in the camp rousing appointed men
to march around those walls.

...And the walls came down! Victory
for God's people was the resounding cry and could be felt all over the
congregation. We appreciated the quick
response of the congregation, as they came to the altars earnestly
seeking the Lord.

A spirit of revival was working in
many lives. One elderly sister was refilled with the Holy Ghost after
not speaking in tongues for a long time. Another testified that he had
been drawn closer to the Lord. New fire was stirred in many for
witnessing and soul winning. Teams went out, even in frigid weather,
going door to door reaching lives for the Lord. A young woman was deeply
stirred and revived as God spoke to her so clearly from the Word of God.
There were heart rending testimonies of the help of the Lord
ministering to needy lives.

The anointed singing of the Trinity Tabernacle
Choir was a special blessing!
We were also impressed with the
vision to reach out to the community through bus ministry. Bus Captains
and others with a burden have worked faithfully to bring in many
children, as can be seen by pictures from a Sunday morning at Children's
Church.

They must
be doing something right!
Jason Turner's son was totally occupied with reading the soulwinning
book we were giving away. It is called "One Thing You Can't Do In
Heaven". Do you know what that is? You can't ever witness to a
sinner in heaven. The time to do it is now and this book will challenge
and excite you. You may also get one free if you write to us and request
it.
While we were in Louisville we had
occasion to go to a Laundromat where we encountered a unique opportunity
to witness. As we entered we saw
many people there and felt the Lord had given us a field to harvest. We
began to give out the message of salvation to each person.
Most received it well, until I came to a young woman seated and reading
a book as she waited for her laundry to finish. When she saw what I
offered she immediately turned away and told me she didn't want it.
Upon pressing her a little further she said, "Each of us has his own
religion, and I have mine." When I asked her what her religion was
she proudly declared,
"I am a pagan."
Slightly shocked but wanting to pursue this conversation I asked her
what her religion believed. "We worship gods and goddesses (female
gods)" she replied. I asked her where they came from and she claimed
they were immortal.
"Which one is most powerful?" I inquired. She asserted they each had
their own powers and attributes.
"But, " I continued, "you call them gods, yet God, by definition is
unique from all others. How can they each be a god? By definition, God
is the supreme or ultimate reality. They can't each be the supreme or
ultimate reality. By definition, God is the Being perfect in
power, wisdom, and goodness who is worshipped as creator and ruler of
the universe. Do you have that kind of a God?" She confessed that
she didn't, but that each of her goddesses helped her in different ways.
I asked her
which of her goddesses has the power to take away sin. She had no
answer, and said a little bit boastfully, "I am wicked! I even have a
tattoo that says so!" She didn't seem worried because she believes in
reincarnation, the opportunity to keep coming back to another life, to
keep improving.
As I gave her the Gospel, I prayed that the Lord would open her heart
and deliver her from this devilish "religion", which is also Wicca, or
witchcraft. I finally asked her if there was a time that she was not a
pagan? Yes, she used to go to a Christian church. I asked if at that
time she ever felt close enough to God to feel like she was saved? She
had, but blurted out, "Do you know what those Christians did? When my
mother died when I was seventeen, they said she went to hell.... just
because she was a lesbian." Here you can see the roots of her
wandering into paganism.
The Bible commands: Thou shalt
have no other gods before Me." (Exodus 20:2-3)
Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, the life; no man cometh unto the
father but by me." (John 14:6) God's Word further states, "There is no
other name under heaven, given amongst men, whe reby
wer must be saved." (Acts 4:12) And what joy it is to know that
the blood of Jesus Christ cleanseth us from all sin.
Please pray for this young woman
named Haley to find Salvation through Jesus Christ.
